| - This is a cool little coffee/tea shop with great tasting coffee, a laid back atmosphere, and super friendly staff.
First, the coffee. I had a large, nonfat, caramel latte with 4 shots (3 is the norm). The coffee tasted fresh, lively, bold, and balanced. The espresso and sweetness of caramel equally merged to deliver an excellent jolt to my palette. This is the second time I've had this concoction. I will enjoy it again soon.
Second, the outward appearance of the building will not allude to the inner makings of the ambiance. The building is big and commercial in every sense. It houses U.S. Egg, Some Burros, offices, and multiple other proprietors. That said, once inside the shop you get a feeling akin to being in a small book store with coffee. There are tables for multiple patrons. You can read your paper or turn on the laptop for work or social media. There is a small couch and coffee table area complete with a record player and other media. The darker colors and slower pace make for a tranquil get away if even for only 5-30 minutes.
Finally, the staff is SUPER NICE!!! Seriously, the last guy who made my coffee knew and remembered my name immediately. He was talking to me like we had been friends for years. I had a similar experience recently with a female staff member. They just smile, serve you well, and make you feel at home. The staff makes you want to come back as if you'd be returning home for a visit.
Overall, I love it. I'm glad I found this location and will return again and again.
