| - Every visit to Toronto, i like to try out a new coffee bar. After reading about this place in Toronto Life's Eating and Drinking issue, and seeing the owner on Marilyn, I thought that this place would be perfect for an afternoon latte. We walked into the space and were surprised to see no one on laptops, no one post workout, no students deep into reading, no one period. We walked up and ordered a vanilla and a caramel latte, unfortunate for us they were out of both syrups. We opted just for a standard latte. The vibe was extremely hostile While waiting for our beverages, there was shop talk amongst disgruntled employees, and while i was paying for my drink, the barista was already on to the next customer. Advice to shop owners everywhere, wait until one transaction is complete before moving on, it makes you feel like a number instead of a customer. That being said the latte was decent, but would i return, probably not.
