  • I can only give the Hofbrauhaus 3 stars and that's a shame considering that it was a nice place with good food and a great atmosphere. They lost 2 stars for their waitstaff. We had no idea what we should be doing when we first went in because no one was at the host/hostess stand. We walked into the bar area and sat down and were ignored by everyone staff member walking by. I finally asked a waitress if we could get service. She said no, because we weren't officially seated. What? Are you kidding me??? We got up and went to the host stand and the guy there was an idiot. He said we can't just seat ourselves, as if that's what we wanted to do or something! I just wanted someone to pay attention to us. Well guess what? He sat us in the exact same room as where we originally sat, but in a different spot not far from the original table. Now does this make sense?? The food was OK, but there's not much enjoyment you can get from the food when you've been aggravated for 20 minutes just to get seated in a fairly empty restaurant. That's too bad.
