  • What an amazing idea; this place charges you for the amount of time you spend there, starting at $3.00 per hour, to a maximum of $ 9.00,and all the tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits you can consume. Vintage Pyrex cups, vintage '40s music, hodgepodge of teapots, coffeepots, paper plates, and whatever biscuits are there that day. Vintage furniture and objects, interesting art on the wall, and customers coming and going nonstop. Some of the furniture and objects are actually for sale, so if you feel like buying a Victorian- style couch, try here. The art, all original, is also for sale. On an end note, I have to say this is not an obvious spot, we missed it while walking, there are no tell-tale signs, no distinctive door or window, the cafe is not street level, and once you enter, climb the stairs, you have to remove your boots and put on the provided slippers,then register your name and time you arrive, your bill will be calculated accordingly. There's also a game room and another where you can watch movies or TV. Great concept, great ambiance, great place.
