| - I do not suggest you stay here during your trip to Vegas.
We booked CC for a 4 night, 5 day trip having never been to Las Vegas before. A lot of things confused us about this trip, but some do seem standard across the board so maybe Vegas just isn't for me. These include; no coffee pot in the room so you have to spend OVER 10 dollars at Starbucks EVERY DAY, because they want to rip you off and nickel-and-dime you, as well as not putting a fridge in the room so that when you go out to dinner and get these giant portioned meals, you have to throw it away. Not only is that wasting food which makes me feel terrible, but it makes you spend more money (shocker!). Not to mention the "resort fee", but I'll expand on that. I should mention we "upgraded" our rooms so we could avoid staying in the manor, which looks like the scene of a serial murderer documentary.
The resort fee is apparently PER room, not reservation. Had we been notified of this, we would not have stayed. 25 bucks a night is supposed to include the extras like the swimming pool etc but half of the amenities are terrible or don't exist such a coffee pot/fridge. What are you really paying for? NOTHING. There is a pool but it closes at 6 when the children go to sleep I guess. What about the adults? This "resort fee" may include the walking sidewalks to the pool (broken) and the escalators (also broken) but after getting a recent food injury I can tell you, these small inconveniences add up pretty quickly. Also the wifi is unsecured, which means anyone can use it even though it's supposed to be just for guests. I assume that's part of this "resort fee". The least you can do is put a password on it, and half of the time it doesn't work.
Furthermore, I am glad I don't have kids because you have to walk them through a GIANT hotel full of smoke. If it's catered to families, how does this add up? Second hand smoke at a young age? I'm just glad I don't have kids and can manage.
The room itself was mostly clean, but I can definitely see where people have smoked in the room despite it being "non smoking". The last night we stayed, I found a lid to a salsa or something under the nightstand. I didn't bring that into the room so it had been there for quite a while. Gross. They also failed to mention that we had adjoining rooms (my friend and I had separate rooms across the hall from each other instead of next to each other which makes NO sense), and nobody warned us that we would be next to strangers. This doesn't exactly make me feel safe with all of my belongings in there and of course, there's no safe or anywhere to lock things up.
On the second to last day, we went out and came back to hit the pool since we paid so much money for it, and my makeup was missing. I couldn't find my 50 dollar foundation which I had just bought so of course I went into a panic and called down to the desk. They said the housekeeping staff accidentally broke it, which is fine, because accidents happen. However, they didn't leave a note or anything in the room which could have avoided this panic. The woman stated she tried calling the room and I didn't answer. Well, I'm on vacation, not hanging out in this hotel room. So they tell me there will be a note on my account so they can reimburse me, cool. I get down to the desk to check out and nobody has any idea what I'm talking about. So clearly, the management of housekeeping is useless here and didn't do her job. Fortunately, the manager at check out (Cheryl) was extremely helpful at handling the manner. Furthermore, she was interested in hearing what we had to say which definitely made the experience better.
With that said, I won't be returning here. This place is not worth that kind of money and I honestly feel jipped having spent that much for a "resort fee" which does nothing for me at all. I honestly considered demanding money back at check out especially considering my foot injury which made this experience horrible. So if management is reading this, I want my 180 back. Also, I will be emailing this information to corporate to hopefully have these issues addressed before others suffer.
