| - Shady Service Department-
towed my 2007 Honda Accord in due to no start with the green key flashing. I live in Coolidge which is an hour drive south of the city. I got a call from Service the same day saying my car was running, and the problem was a blown fuse. I couldn't have been happier, until I went to pick it up...... I paid the $100 (diagnostic fee +fuse), tech drove my car around, when I got in I noticed all the warning lights were lit up on the instrument panel. So I went back to service and right away he told me "that's how it was when we got it"... we yea, it wasn't running, but I've never seen them lit up before, so then in a rude tone says "Well, let me run it back and see if there's any more blown fuses".... 5 mins later comes back and says my car had "died" from a dead battery and jokingly said "I guess you're gonna have to tow back it out"..... then stating the root cause was a faulty alternator. Of all places, my alternator conveniently decides to crap out. I asked for the cost to fix and was quoted over $800, then asked them to hold my car overnight and I'd tow back home the next day since I wasn't in a position to fork out that much cash. So, I called my mom who was already on her way back to Coolidge to turn around and pick me up.
I get home, pull out the alternator, take it to a parts store and they tested it "good".. I ended up purchasing a new one anyway hoping it was just a bad test.... wrong. I jumped my car, it ran, as soon as I disconnected the cables, it died! My car sat at my parents for 2 months. I researched online and it mentioned to check fuse 15, which powers ACG. When I opened the fuse panel, guess what... the damn fuse was missing (pic attached). I replaced the fuse and my car started up and is now on the road.
Either you pulled the fuse intentionally, or just forgot to put it back during testing, which I'm still confused how you claimed to test the alternator bad in the first place.
I'm never going back to this place again.
