  • Eating at Lola's was a great experience. We started off with the charbroiled oysters which were merely ok. The shells were too hot to touch, so a bit of a feat to eat. Once wrangled off of the shell, the flavor was nice. My hubby had the crab cakes which were disgusting, you can actually taste bread crumbs more than the crab. We are hard core lovers of Del Friscos crab cakes, which is a high bar to get over. My dinner however, the shrimp and grits was the shit! OMG I will be dreaming of this for many nights to come. The shrimp was cooked right, the heat was just right and the grits a cheesy delight. The sauce and sausage were so well done. It was amazing and will come back just for that. They had a great beer selection. The hostess...meh. The server was good enough. The place is small but fun. We will be back for sure!
