| - If you're coming for the slots, to smoke a carton of cigarettes, to get sloshed, or for harness racing, you've picked the right place. But we came for a show (Michael Carbonaro). The layout sucks: tight parking bc of the other attractions; then just to get to the hall, you have to muscle your way past a smoke-clogged outdoor slot area, and then elbow though an equally tacky and crowded slot-machine room; and then you're bottlenecked though a narrow and equally congested room. And finally you get to the hall. That consisted of row upon row of Samsonite card-table folding chairs that were rigged up for the event. And they were all on one level floor - not theatre-style. So needless to say if you're not in one of the first five rows, your view sucks. The show was good, though, and the ushers were helpful enough, but my message to Northfield Park: stick to harness racing and gambling, and leave the entertainment to the experts.
Do not go here for a show or concert. Wait for the act to play at a different venue.
