  • I've used Steinberg Diagnostics for years, as they are a preferred provider for my insurance. I've had lumbar punctures, biopsies, and multiple MRI's. I've always had great service. Billing is handled efficiently. People are pleasant and helpful. Two experiences stand out as exceptional. The first was a few years ago when I had a lumbar puncture. I was VERY nervous, to the point of near panic. The Dr who performed the procedure was so patient and understanding. My spinal fluid was draining slowly and as I felt my anxiety reach a boiling point, the Dr started chatting me up about my tattoos. He started rolling up his sleeves and shared his with me, and before you knew it, the procedure was over. (I've used this distraction method with my kids many times, but I guess I'm gullible enough to fall for it myself. ) Still feeling lightheaded the attending techs gave me juice, crackers and time enough to come around without making me feel ridiculous for the commotion. I really appreciated their patience and I'll never forget how they "babied me" when I acted like a baby! My most recent visit was for an MRI of the knee. Although I only had a routine referral, they were able to schedule me in 5 days at my preferred location. The appt was at 10 pm (yes, 10 at night), it was nearly a ghost town at that time so I was in and out quickly. What I find exceptional about this visit was they had the report ready by the next morning. I had trouble logging into my account to view the report but their representative patiently walked me through the process. Their speedy turnaround time means I can get a referral to the orthopedic Dr quickly...and that means I'll be in less pain sooner, rather than later. Yay!
