| - We're the kind of people who like to take our time before making large purchases; it is, after all, going to be awhile before we make another purchase of large living room furniture.
About two and a half years ago, we bought a bed from Pruitt's and haven't had one complaint on its durability or beauty. The bed was an awesome buy on sale and remains gorgeous. Naturally, when we decided it was time to invest in a living room suite of furniture, we knew we'd go look at our different options for furniture stores.
After a horrible experience with American furniture warehouse, I was dubious about going there again; to be "fair" we went ahead and looked there too - perhaps things would be different this time around. Checked them out, but decided being burned once was enough.
However, Pruitt's is about a mile from where we live; a beautifully maintained store, and has gorgeous furniture for those on a budget all the way up to those with unlimited resources. The mindfully laid out areas make it easy to visualize where you would place the same pieces in your own domicile.
After walking the floors and different areas numerous times over the course of a couple months, we settled on a really nice leather blend, 8 piece living room set. I'm immediately drawn to the beauty of the pattern and the color of the material. Lovely lamps, tables, and detail on the wood pieces speak of quiet elegance while providing comfort. We added an accent chair to the grouping as well.
All thru our many sojourns thru the store, we had the knowledge that when we needed him, Don, would be there. With his gentle nature, easy going attitude, knowledge of the furniture, no-pressure sales manner, and that awesome fedora; he was going to be our ''go-to'' guy once the decision was made. Yesterday, we made the decision for the 8 piece set to come home with us!
We are waiting to have it delivered until next Saturday, but both of us are extremely pleased with our final choice.
I will come back after delivery for another review on that experience.
Long story short, if you need or want new furniture, do yourself a favor and skip AFW; the quality of furniture there, I cannot comment on, but the service alone at Pruitt's makes it worth the drive.
