So I bought a low grade candle and boy did it cause a mess. I had black soot everywhere. Never in my life would I have imagined this outcome. I went to handy dandy Yelp to see about carpet cleaning services in the area. I've used another company and didn't care for the end results. To my delight I saw Southern Dry Carpet on Yelp and although not that many reviews I felt compelled to call Chad. I am so happy I did.
I had rented a carpet cleaner from the local big box store. I was able to clean a lot of the soot but it was an all night affair not to mention dragging the machine from store * car * house * up stairs * refilling/emptying dirty water * cleaning all the grime off machine * back down stairs * lift back into car * lift out of car * drag back into store. Can you say EXHAUSTED??? My main concern was to not get this stuff all over the rest of the house.
Chad accommodated my schedule & arrived on time the next day. He was very professional, inspected/eval the area then gave his recommendation and stuck to his original price based on my guess at the room size. This is a large 20x20 room & I thought the hall out side the room may have to be done. Total cost was $99.00. He explained the process & used a technique I had never seen done on carpet to DRY clean it. I saw the difference instantly. The problem I had is that his machine does not extend under the bed so I had to work with my husband to move it when he arrived home from work. All the open areas were done and within 20 minutes could reposition the furniture I was able to move.
I'd definitely recommend Chad and the service offered. Any future carpet cleaning will be done by him. He even did a neat thing and cleaned the one area of our downstairs carpet that my husband's OCD gets triggered by. As soon as my husband arrived home he noticed it.
Chad does offer a $10 discount if your call is not returned within 24hrs too. He does accept Cash, Check, and credit card payment too.
I'll tell everyone I know about his business and give credit where credit is due starting on Yelp. Thank you fellow Yelpers for pointing me in the right direction.
For anyone interested to know the candle I bought it was called "The Aroma Collection" and purchased from Burlington Coat Factory. Never again-everything had to be cleaned including the walls, bed linen and clothes plus every piece of furniture and blinds/window sills. OMG. I'm still cleaning 4 days later. Horrible!
