Recently just stayed here for 7 nights. I honestly would have given it 4 stars had it not be for a couple of annoyances which I'll get to in a sec.
Positives:
- I was checked in first on the 5th floor where there was construction and drilling going on right above my room. It was terrible and couldn't do any work. I called reservations from my room and asked to be moved, the person I spoke to said its not possible as all rooms were booked. However, I went downstairs and spoke with Emma at the front desk she was super lovely and she managed to find me a room at one of the newly renovated floors for the next day onwards (I told her there's no way I can work with the racket going on and I was going to be here for over a week). Really enjoyed my interaction with Emma.
- The people who regularly delivered my meals when I decided to order room service were phenomenal! Maybe they felt bad for me because I was always eating dinner there but I was offered some wine and snacks along w my dinner. Totally appreciated the gesture.
Now for the not so great things:
- Internet - not sure why this isn't complimentary. I'm also a Marriott Silver member but Internet was still $11/day.
- The man who checked me in the first time and he also was the one at check out. In all my interactions with him, there was no consideration at all to be helpful. Very much waved me off kind of attitude. It was raining one day and I asked to borrow an umbrella, he didn't even bother to look and said they've all been lent out. 10 feet away from him was the doorman who let me borrow an umbrella hanging from his podium.
Overall, good hotel for location and amenities (especially if you get one of the newer rooms) but I didn't care for the rudeness of some people who worked there.
