  • It's always nice to have a place to go and play pool in the neighbourhood. They've got a fair number of tables here and fair prices. Atmosphere is pretty mediocre, music is a mixed bag, and usually too loud, and if you do go to play pool the lighting is wonting. Problem is mostly with the staff, and especially the security guys--they are just totally out of line and overly aggressive. I've been here a few times and there are a couple in particular that go around pre-emptively threatening and arbitrarily doling out conditions of being allowed to stay (e.g. to my friend who hadn't had any alcohol: "don't drink in the next hour or we'll kick you out"--because he jumped up and yelled in excitement when another friend showed up). Saw another guy who had clearly had too much to drink, but wasn't causing any trouble, and instead of simply helping him out to a cab, the staff was really terrible with him. The guys are mean looking goons, and perhaps that's good in their profession, but other places have effective security who are totally pleasant--this place honestly makes me uncomfortable.
