The layout of this gym is fine, nothing special. I am really disappointed that as a super sport they do not provide towels. I am from out of town and was hoping for a simple workout while here. I seeked out a yoga class and came for 10am yoga on a Thursday morning.
The staff was friendly as I walked in but didn't really seem too helpful when I looked for the locker room and group x locations.
My saddest thing was how pathetic the yoga class was. The outside music from the gym is too loud to hear the instructor. Also the Zumba class from the hour before stays inside the room and out the door while we are tying to settle down. I couldn't hear the instructor at all.
The class it's self did not feel like yoga at all. It was slow paced with very little yoga movements. It was hard to hear the instructor but also her instructions were very confusing. I couldn't relax and just flow with movements, everyone was looking around at each other trying to figure out what she was telling us to do. She didn't indicate the poses clearly. I would have loved a slow paced deep stretching class but this wasn't anywhere near that. So disappointed!
I go to a professional yoga studio in San Diego on a regular basis and I miss it when I'm gone. I usually am satisfied with these generic classes when I travel but not today. Wow spare yourself and skip this yoga class.
