In April 2016 Liberty Home Products replaced the material on a 20 foot retractable awning (that was not their product) and installed a ceiling to floor mounted rolling sun shade at the end of the patio. The total cost of these installations being 4022.00. While expensive, we figured it would be worth it to do it right and not have to replace it again for a long time. While the sales call went well, seemed professional and straight forward with the notation in writing that we also wanted the pitch raised so the awning didn't slope as much. The installation crew said they had no orders to adjust the pitch and would have the home office get back to us.
We were then asked to send pictures to the office and then told that "the awning was as at the highest pitch it wold go, and besides, they don't work other companies products. Perhaps you still have the directions to see if you can do anything yourself." At this point i was merely disappointed that this hadn't been made clear to us.
Then, June 2016 ,two months after installation, i come home to find the awning slumped and billowing below the retractable arms. I call Liberty to request a repair crew to tighten up the fabric that seems to have slid from one end. I am told once again to send pictures. It has now been 3 to 4 weeks and I am being told to call again on Monday and they will walk me through how to tighten the material myself over the phone!
Bottom line is that once this company has your money you are highly unlikely to see them again! It is appawlling to spend this kind of money for self service, You can spend a lot less and do it yourself by ordering the Sunbrella fabric through Awntech!
KEEP LOOKING,DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
