  • Top's is my go-to liquor store... but not because I want them to be... more because I'm kind of stuck with them. Don't get me wrong, they have a great microbrew selection and they are pretty close by to where I live, but there are some things to watch for. Aside from beer, they have lots of different bottles and most of the employees are happy to help you make your choices. So now the bad... Several times I've bought beer here, it was expired. Check this before you walk out, especially if they posted special pricing for your choice. Also, while they have a decent amount of the beer in the fridge, most of the good stuff is on a shelf. Not a big deal, but sometimes I want something really special and I want it to be cold, too. The fridges aren't all that amazing either... that or they just keep the temperature slightly, slightly colder than room temperature. Also, make sure when you pull out a 6 pack, all 6 are the same beer. They allow people to make mismatched 6 packs so you'll often find yourself mixed up 6 packs or 6 packs with only 4 beers in them. Lastly, just as any liquor store, the crazies do end up loitering out front and in the alley along the side of the building. They are pretty annoying when you pull up and try to walk in.
