I have been to this Rona probably 20 times by now. Liked the friendly greeter at the front of the store who would make sure you knew where to go (he was the guy in the wheelchair and later was on crutches) but haven't seen him for awhile.
Also, my tot liked to come to Rona to visit the fish in the fish pond (pond closed in early April 2017).
Staff is usually difficult to find and when I do find some of them, they do not bother to look up from their computer to assist me or are super quick to leave even though no other customers are insight.
This past weekend, saw a middle-aged manager leave an older sales lady to lift something quite heavy all by herself for a customer. That did not show me that the manager had any respect for the employee as she looked to be struggling.
I frequently walk to this Rona because it is so close to my home. I often bring a bag or cart of some sort to transport my shopping. As most places request, you need to leave bags & carts at the customer service desk.
I waited 3 minutes to get acknowledgement at the customer service desk while a manager and two employees kept chatting. No, 'I'll be right with you' or 'I'll be with you in two minutes.' Absolutely nothing. Ok, noted and I moved on.
When I returned for my cart, tot in my arms, the customer service desk had two lines, one by the entrance and one past the security entrance. I was second in line in the store entrance past the security gate. There was one employee behind the desk. I waited 10 minutes or longer until it was finally my turn and asked the employee for my cart (right behind her). She said the other employee would help me...15 minutes into waiting a second employee appears and asks me to wait (the cart was right behind her) while she went into the back room....we had purchased over $170.00 on this visit and are considering returning it all...
Thank you Rona for the wonderful experience in your store this weekend. Home Depot is a short drive and Lowes is too...
