  • Oh, Ella's, I feel like you used to be a lot better when I was younger. I can't specifically tell if the quality has decreased (though other recent reviews imply that may be the case) or if I've always been blinded by all the toys and the carousel, but this visit was just not as enchanting as all my previous visits over the years. The surly teenager acting as host? Mmm yeah, maybe not the best face you want to be showing your customers when they walk into the door? Gosh, that kid was all grumps and monotone and unwelcoming. The food is a little drier than I remember it being. Why did you stop being a grease hole, Ella's? That was part of your thing! A Reuben on dry toast is not how I remember your Reubens. And why was my aunt's Reuben baked potato just a dried, baked potato with Reuben toppings? Your ice cream is still pretty good, so the next time I stop in I'll just get a shake and skip the solid food.
