I was curious, but timid to try the float tanks so me and a friend decided to go do the salt room experience and check the place out. It was more than I expected. The facility is new and very clean and nice. The chairs in the salt room were very comfortable, the room smelled of new wood and the small granules of Himalayan salt on the floor felt great on my socked feet. We sat, the little fan started whirring and the music played. We were both immediately at ease and very comfortable. Falling asleep would be easy here. The music played the whole time, but the little fan turned off towards the end. When we were finished we took a quick tour of the float tanks and were very impressed with them all; 2 pods and 1 soak room for those that are claustrophobic. It got a little more casual at the end as we go back to the desk to pay and see a friend of the employee eating pizza in the lounge area... but it was a Saturday afternoon and we were the only people in the facility at the time. I guess as long as that doesn't become a normal thing and they maintain their professionalism they'll probably do fine. If they allow their standards to lower, then this place will fail as the customers must consistently feel the highest levels of trust/professionalism to engage in this sort of therapy. I'm buying some gift certificates for people on my holiday shopping list while it's still new and lovely. I suggest you do the same :-) Your recipients will enjoy this gift a lot!
