  • Went to Sears with a dead battery, AAA had come and jump started us and we sent to Sears because the battery was under Sears' 4 year warranty (2.5 years out). They tested the battery and determined it was "good" despite the fact that the AAA tech's test said it needed replacing immediately. IOW, Sears WOULD NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. My husband threatened to take legal action and they immediately refused to continue working on the car and asked us to leave. I am disabled and use a motorized wheelchair. They essentially left us with a battery that could die at any time. Luckily, we made it home and called AAA to replace the Sears battery at a cost of ~$150. I wonder how they sleep at night.
