  • Dr Gothelf has been my Dr for close to 20 yrs. I love him, and I appreciate how well he has cared for me. However, my husband has been going to him too for about 5 years. Yesterday they told him they couldn't refill his medicine that helps control his shingles without him coming into the office and being seen. Shingles are very very painful. He's had them for almost a decade and goes through one prescription a year, roughly. He was last seen in their office in November and could come in this Monday. They still refused to fill it. They told him to go to quick care. He works for the DOE, and his days are 12hrs long which doesn't include travel time home. So when he comes home tonight, after having to stay there last night(something needed his attention, and he had to stay over and repair it) he's going to have to sit a quick care for who knows how long. I'm just in disbelief. We are now looking for a new Dr that will give my sweet husband his meds. It's not a narcotic. It the same meds they give for herpes. So if you were having a herpes out break, they'd tell you to go to quick care because they want to look your outbreak every time it occurs to make sure thats what it is. This is just horrific. So if you're a woman you'd have to have a stranger look you over at quick care instead of your family doctor who's supposed to be taking care of you. IT'S THERE NEW OFFICE POLICY. Well Dr. Gothelf and Ginger Lane, I think your new office policy is in humane. My husband is a good man and deserves better.
