This is the best Asian bakery that I've ever been to. They are constantly baking and replenishing their shelves and their recipes seem to have been perfected.
This little bake shop features baked goods and some small takeaway rice dishes. They also do cakes and other pastries. The prices are on par or a tiny bit more expensive than some other Asian bake shops, about a dollar and some change for any one of their buns and around $5-6 for the rice dishes, which are some type of meat packed on top of rice. I've had a couple of the rice dishes and they're pretty good for the money. The buns are the main draw, I'd say. They're always fresh and delicious. I've tried a number of the buns and they're always flavourful and generously filled.
They also serve the typical Hong Kong drinks like milk tea and lemon tea.
The actual restaurant is clean, and like I said before, the shelves are being replenished all day so most buns are fresh as nothing seems to be sitting there for very long. It is mostly a takeout type place but there are some small tables and chairs for those who want to sit down and have a tea/coffee and snack.
The ladies working there are nice and quick which is good for when you just want to get in and out.
This is definitely my favourite asian bakery and I try to stop by whenever I'm in the area.
Due to the popularity of this place, it's definitely better to come earlier than later in the evening as I find that they start running out of buns towards closing time!
