  • I'm writing this review day after dinner so it's still fresh. Let me start off I was kind of skeptical of going there as I don't really mess with foo grai..lol. It's not really big in Nj/ny but I really wanted to try the place as we literally stayed around the corner from there. I called literally 2 days before and was able to get fri night reservation for 930pm which actually ended up perfect for us . My uber driver talked about the place and told us to try the duck fries and place was awesome which got us even more excited. From the minute we walked in we were excited. Cozy little set up and were seated for 4 right away. Place is pretty loud but great atmosphere. Our waiter was awesome explained everything on the menu with a cool French accent along with all specials that were out. One thing I wish they explained that portions which are pretty big and some can feed more than 2 people such as the specialties had duck confeit. Wine list is extensive and we ended up with a bottle of red light bodied mergot 2014 for 62 bucks Canadian which was recommended by our waiter. Wine was awesome just perfect for all types of dishes and tastes. Wines look like can get expensive as there only a few under 100 bucks. They brought some delicious warm bread with butter and for appetizers we picked putine fries which was good but super heavy. 2nd appetizer was pasta with dry smoked sausage not sure what was called as as was off the menu and a special but great. We ordered Guinea hen for 2.. 90$( more like for 3 people I would say) it was amazing!! Cooked to perfection super crispy skin with great gnocchi mixed with peas and garlic. Great combo I say no need to order any other sides. WARNING TAKES 50 min to cook. So order right away or some appetizers as that's how long it will take. The other 2 dishes were off special menu -duck confeit which was super good and crispy and nicely glazed with a bed of mashed potatoes with sauce of apples and most likely maple syrup as u can't go without especially in Canada. The other meal was fettuccini with pork pieces with aged cheddar.This was prepared table side which was a show stopper for everyone around and I'm attaching a video if the special still available definitely worth ordering. Be prepared bill came to over 350 Canadian for 4 ,but all worth it for the experience. Awesome place!! Overall experience 5 stars, everyone in group loved it. Would definitely recommend to all my fellow Americans as service was attentive and awesome. 1 thing about the place I would Change which would be bathrooms to allow more people as literally there was 2 lines for them.. They need it!!
