  • UPDATE: About a year ago, the complex (formerly known as Sun King) was purchased by Baron Property Management and converted from lower-income housing to higher-end housing. The public renovations themselves were a pain to live through but are largely over now, and the results are pretty good. The disused tennis court (I saw people play tennis on it maybe twice a year) was torn out and replaced by a frequently-used doggie park/outdoor lounge, the exercise room got a massive upgrade, the pool received a makeover, and the individual apartments are gradually being renovated. As Section 8 is no longer accepted, those tenants are being replaced by tenants with higher income levels. The staff is mostly new as well. The awesome Jeana remains and is joined by the very friendly Scott and Ricky. They still greet you with a smile and are always helpful. As for our new renovated apartment: Rent is now more expensive (but still quite good for Scottsdale) and the flooring, sinks, countertops, cabinets and appliances are all brand new. The included washer-dryer units are kind of shoehorned in (ours is in the bedroom), but are brand new, fairly quiet and eliminate co$tly laundromat trips. Summary: We've renewed our lease, are still happy to live here, and recommend this complex.
