  • I wen to this spa for the first time after purchasing the Groupon for a facial. What I wasn't told until I actually got into the room for the facial was that extractions were not included. I thought that was really misleading, because then you really aren't getting a deal at all. Plus, what is the point of getting a facial without extractions? Besides that, the facial was amazing. The best I've ever had. I was extremely relaxed, the aesthician was very gentle and afterwards my face felt amazing. I wanted to get facial waxing done as well, but she told me that it would be better to come back the next day instead of doing both on the same day. I came back the next day and that's where everything went wrong. Halfway through I heard her go "Oh shit! Oh shit!" and she told me that some of the skin had ripped off on my cheek and was bleeding. I didn't think it was a big deal because when you are doing things like this out of vanity sometimes things go wrong and you suffer the consequences. So I told her just to finish. After she was done she gave me some aloe to put on the spot where the skin ripped off. I had also book a conditioning and haircut, which was great. But towards the end of the cut when she handed me a mirror to look at her work, I saw that my face was really red. I couldn't feel that anything was wrong, because it's not like your face feels or likes fabulous after waxing. So she finished my hair, I went to the front desk to paid, and left. It wasn't until I got out the car and could look closely in the mirror that I could see that my face was REALLY messed up. Instead of just that one spot of skin ripping off on the cheek, skin was ripped off ALL OVER my face, especially around my mouth. In addition to it being painful, I had to go to work for days with my face covered in scabs. I seriously looked like a meth addict that scratched all around their mouth. Obviously I called the spa and asked for my money back. They said they had talked to the aesthitician and she told them that I said I wanted to proceed after she had told me some of my skin ripped off. WELL SHE DIDN'T TELL ME IT RIPPED OFF ALL OVER MY FACE!!! One spot was fine, but why on Earth would she, as a professional, keep going when it was all over my face, and then not say anything about it. And why would the receptionist accept payment when I walked out of there looking like a monster. Instead of giving me a refund they credited me with a free facial, but honestly, why would I want to go back to her? It is a shame because her facial was so great and I thought I had found a new spa, but I was wrong! So overall I guess I would say just don't get waxed at this spa!
