Stopped in today to get an estimate on getting glasses (I had my prescription). The young lady was very nice and answered my questions about their pricing. She indicated there was a sale - that you get a second pair of frames free when you bought the first one. No disclaimers at this point. She took my insurance card and checked on my coverage while I looked at frames. I noticed their frames seemed a bit pricey. She came over and said there were some discount available on my insurance. So we picked out two frames (one regular and one sunglass frames) and she then calculated the 'final' price after discounts. The total was almost $500. I asked why it was so expensive so she described all of the different charges. Longer story short - there were premium add ons to the lenses. I asked her to remove all of the extras and just give me a price without them. The price was about the same. This is when she finally informed me that the 'second pair free offer' only applied when you had two premium add ons to the lenses. When I asked her to quote me a price using my old frames, no premium add ons and one pair of sun glass lenses. The total was almost $300. I left without making a purchase. I really don't like when they are not totally honest up front about 'free' offers. I thought the sales pitch was a bit deceptive. Not a business I want to support.
