I have always been a supporter of Costco. How busy it is does not affect its popularity for a good reason. The only reason why I gave it such a low rating is because of the store manager. The first time I went to this Costco location I was with some friends, we tried to each pay for our own shopping items (but all on my card) and were stopped because Costco member card "only applies to the card holder, not a place to bring friends where we can shop around," such was what their manager Julie told me. I can respect that, after all, standards are standards. Today I witnessed the exact same scenerio happen to a group of two shoppers in their 40s, immediately the manager's attitude changed, the same thing was brought up but she would "let them slide this one time." The existence of this double standard - which I do not know whether it's because of my and my peers' age (in our 20s) - is just disappointing with a super chain store focused on making people's lives better. I still love Costco the brand, but the management at this location is more than disappointing in a situation such as that.
