| - We went here last weekend, both saturday (packed by the time we got there) so we cancelled our technical support visit but planned a return visit on sunday morning. We were in line, but were number 5 on sunday. (The number one party was there an hour prior to opening.) We were able to leave, since our reservation was held, so our son got to play in the nearby climber, down the way. Hubby went over when the store was open. After some play time, we joined my husband who was there with the helpful and nice clerk.
What did we need technical support for? We both had iPod issues. Mine was an older shuffle iPod and hubby's was a newly purchased iPod touch, wasn't holding a charge and kept dying, as the battery kept draining ever so quickly (still under warranty, until next June). The clerk tested them both. Mine can only play the existing play list (can't do anything new to it, because something in the software is messed up) and I can either use it until it dies or purchase a new one (I have two iPods, so I opted to play this one until it is dead). Hubby's was exchanged for a new one. This new one was also tested. Pretty cool.
There was a children's play area with spheres and another clerk was helping them all get situated with using them (getting the spheres to move) in conjunction with tablets- that was pretty neat, there was an obstacle course on the table, outlined in blue tape. There was a dip at one point, which was challenging. One coworker commented that the clerk was having more fun than all the kids were! This is a neat way to keep the kiddos' attention while their mommies or daddies were getting technical support.
So, we were there, and I noticed that a local celeb (he has a show on the Strip) was there, but much like the last time, didn't appear to want any recognition. There were lots of people inside the store, but they didn't seem to notice him.
Glad we came early on sunday morning, on Father's Day. Everyone working here is pretty nice, I should mention, too. They often checked to see if we were waiting to get help (I was at the next table from where my husband was sitting, so she didn't know.)
