  • Finally managed to get out to Everyday Noodles despite months of life interfering. I would recommend it. I would go again. I did not fall head-over-heels in love like I imagined. Ordering the Dan Dan Noodles and Pork Belly Slider, I had high hopes for the former and no expectations for the latter. Slider was out basically within seconds, noodles within 5 minutes. The 'slider' was huge! It covered the entire plate. Inside was very tender, well seasoned, braised pork belly. Really good contrast with the fluffy steamed bun. $6 sounded like a lot, but it was a sandwich - not a slider. For the main dish, the noodles are awesome. No joke, as good a noodle as you'll get. Sitting on the bench in front of the noodle maker is a nice treat when you're walking in for a 'table of one'. It was the noodle soup that threw me off guard. First, I was not really expecting that much soup as these are, as advertised, 'dry' noodles. Not a big deal, but it 100% tasted like Sun Noodle's brand frozen Dan Dan Noodles. It was absolutely uncanny. I'm not suggesting that Everyday Noodles aren't making everything from scratch, clearly their noodles are. Maybe Sun Noodles has cracked the code on ready-made broth. Who knows. As I mentioned, I'd absolutely go again and recommend swinging by if you're looking for Taiwanese food.
