We stayed at MGM Grand April 2015 for 5 nights.. and this was our first here. We were very very pleased with our stay.... We were long time Caesars guests and players, but with the decline of their properties we opted to try the MGM properties out. We are glad we did! I have always noticed that the MGM hotels and casinos kept a higher standard so we were hoping to find this true for our first stay. We were celebrating our 12th anniversary and selected a Tower Spa Suite several months in advance and booked it. I had a little correspondence with the concierge Veronica Cruz in advance as I was somewhat nervous about getting the type of room we reserved... Ms. Cruz responded quickly, kindly and professionally and took care of my concerns. I was so impressed with her punctuality and especially since I was to be a first time guest with no real gaming track record with MGM! What a great ambassador for MGM she is! Thank you again Veronica Cruz. Once we got to he hotel there was an enormous line Sunday morning...many guests checking out. But there was cold fruit infused water stations for the guests, and staff checking with people in line and directing them to the next available desk clerk... this all looked to me like MGM actually cares about their guest...we appreciated it, and the line moved quite quickly. Once we approached the desk receptionist Marie... her bright smile and cheery demeanor immediately welcomed us. She called me by name, recognized our anniversary and had us checked in in moments...and even made sure we had just the view we wanted...she was another shining ambassador for MGM...Thanks again to Marie at the front desk!! When we arrived to our room we found champagne waiting for us courtesy Marie and MGM !! The suite was delightful... large and light. Clean as a whistle too! All lamps and electronics worked fine as did the A/C. Bed was exceptionally comfortable and I wanted to steal the down pillows.... they were PERFECT. I seriously want those pillows... The spa bathroom was wonderful. The bath products good as were the quantity and quality of the towels. Housekeeping came daily and did a fine job and we tipped them daily. Wifi worked fine. TV was nice with enough channels. The halls and all common areas were always clean. The common areas had a nice scent to them which I like when hotels do that. The pool was fantastic. Plenty of seats..and yes the earlier you get there the better the selection. Loved the lazy river and variation of different pools. The drink service was fine. The MGM features plenty of food options ranging from food court to high end more haute cuisne. We patronized the whole range believe me! There is also a nice little selection of gift, convienience shops which we also enjoyed. The location of the MGM is fine and close to NYNY, Aria, Excaliber etc...and we used the Monorail for further destinations. We enjoyed every single day of our stay... and as if the bottle of champagne we received from Marie at the the front desk wasnt kind enough... toward the end of our stay we received another anniversary gift bottle from concierge Veronica Cruz!! I am sorry that this is so long.... I usually am not this wordy... But we were just so impressed and grateful to the MGM, Veronica , Marie and all the wonderful hotel staff for making our stay so memorable!!! I absolutely guarantee our return.... you really exceeded our expectations!
