  • Downgrading my review to 1. Sobey's takes advantage of people in Cityplace and charges higher prices than Loblaws and Metro (on many occasions I have seen the same products in Sobeys for cheaper in other stores) However in addition to the high prices, the attitude of the cashiers is very poor here. The meats are seldom fresh (many times I have bought a cut only to find it deteriorating on the side the that faces the plastic packaging) and produce is often over-priced (I recently paid $9 for a bag of organic apples that are selling for $7 almost everywhere else.) Last but not least, the Coffee/Nutella bar is staffed by people who mostly appear not happy with their jobs. If you don't mind over paying for inferior products and love dealing with grumpy people, this store is for you.
