| - I was so disappointed. The staff was very nice and made me an appointment on very short notice, and the shop itself is very nicely decorated and super clean. However, my gel manicure was chipping off one day after I had it done, and by three days afterward all of my nails were chipped and I had to peel the polish off, which is not good for your nails. I think there were a couple reasons why the gel did not last as long as it should have. One, they seem to super rush you out of the UV lights, not letting the nail cure for even 60 seconds at a time. And the other thing is, with the primer stuff that they put on - that sort of a dehydrator/adhering nail prep formula that they prep your nails with... They seem to put a tiny tiny, tiny amount only on the center of the nail. Places that I have gone before where the gel manicure last really well, they make sure to get that adhering solution/nail stuff on the far outside edges of the nails, which makes sense to me... After all, it's not going to chip in the very center of your nail, it's going to chip on the edge and the end of the nail. My nail tech was very nice, and she was careful to do a very tidy job, but it really doesn't matter if the manicure lasts less than one full day.
