  • Umm HELLO!! Like Indian food could be any better... Maharana gives every other Indian restaurant in Madison a run for their money. Flavor town, for sure. (Although, Madison is blessed with many wonderful Indian restaurants. We're lucky! Maharana was just a little extra delicious on this particular day.) The lunch buffet has a great assortment of vegetarian and meat-full dishes. Paneer saag, chicken tikka masala, goat curry--YUM! I'm not usually a fan of idli, but these were nice and moist, and went well with all the rich sauces. The naan was also nice and buttery. They bring it out to your table and it's not served at the buffet. And to top off a great meal, don't miss the gulab jamun. Best I've had! Wish I could pick a favorite, but it's a hard choice. My only "complaint" would be that the restaurant was a little dark and dreary, but nonetheless, I'll be back.
