This is my favourite place to get Persian food. Not only is it close to my house, but I also get the best bang for my buck out of all the Persian places I've been to.
This isn't really a restaurant but more of a food vendor inside a supermarket. You can order your food, and explore some exotic ingredients while you wait for your kebobs to be cooked.
The price is amazing. The cheapest kebob dinner combo I believe is $6.49. You get 2 ground beef skewers, a giant grilled tomato, lots of rice, and onions. You also get a free pop. What a steal! If you crave higher quality cuts of meat, you can get things like Barg (steak) or Chicken breast skewers. They even have lamb.
If you're not craving kebobs, they also have various stews. These are more exotic and may not suit everyone's tastes. If you don't want stews or meat, they also have some vegetarian options like rice topped with vegetables. They also have salmon and grilled chicken. There's also something called Tachin which is like a rice cake with yogurt.
One major turn off for me with middle eastern food is that sometimes their rice is swimming in oil. I was so happy that Khorak's rice is NOT swimming in oil. The rice is not sticky at all and seem really dry, which goes well with my free pop.
Overall, the food is delicious and the price points are highly acceptable. I'll be a repeat customer for the foreseeable future.
