  • I have always had great experiences here previously but for whatever reason lately I haven't been happy! For some reason the store always has a disconnect with what the 1-800-Toysrus customer service line says. I previously had an issue where they messed up my order and Toysrus.com (800 number) gave me a 10% off code to use in store/online,...I get in the store & try and use it and it can't be honored. So I figure no biggie it would have saved me maybe $6 on my purchase but I just figured I can use it online for something else later. So then another occasion I go in and try and do an even exchange a $9.99 my lil pony item I bought my niece for a different 9.99 my lil pony item (keep in mind I had my receipt) and they said I couldn't do an even exchange (keep in mind these are the exact same price) they wanted to force me to return it and rebuy the other item and make me lose my $5.00 rewards I used initially to purchase the first item. I explained to the manager the situation and they were nice (it was a lady) and the cashier completed the even exchange. But after the manager walked away I was told this was a one time thing. They would not honor my rewards again like that?? It bothered me so Then I called the 800 number and the policy is to give the discount back on an exchange?! (Not a return, which makes sense) Then today I try and do a price match and they made it so difficult to do. Even though it was a legit price match they kept repeating how huge of a loss this is for their company....since it's like a $15 price difference ?! I can't help that Walmart has stuff priced waaaaaayyyyy lower and I hate shopping at Walmart so I buy from you?! and if TRU don't wanna take the loss...then maybe Toysrus shouldn't participate in price matching????? Since they are so hard up for $$$ it's really just sad in my opinion....TRU learn better communication skills, customer service skills & be accountable for your business policies. Oh yeah I forgot to add I made the mistake of getting their credit card?! I go in and try and use it with my social look up and they say I have no card?! Lol yet I have a card....active with a credit limit?!! Just seems so unorganized all around!!!
