I arrived and fill out application for credit. I was told I was approved, and 2 days later drove off in my new 2015 Trax.
One week later I was called by my finance person, and told to go in and have a final face-to-face on the new loan. I told them what happened to the old loan and they indicated it would not go through the way that they thought.
I told them I'd be into handed in the new vehicle and to take possession of my trade-in. I was told fine and they would see me when I got there. I arrived only to be told to sit and wait and then told that my vehicle, "trade-in" was not there but at the auction. I was then also told that the original deal was good, and they would give me a new deal even better than the first one.
This was nothing but a show trying to think that I would lay down and take it. I have financed probably 10+ vehicles in my lifetime and know exactly what games some of these automotive dealers try to play.
I do not play games. I'm waiting for my vehicle, "trade-in" to show up tomorrow. Let's see what happens. The only outcome I'd like is my vehicle, "trade-in" or the value that was originally quoted to me at the time of the deal.
This is not the way a home town dealer should act. I was only trying to do the right thing and purchased a vehicle from my hometown dealer. I will now go out in the market and look for a car dealer that is not necessarily close to my home, but the best deal possible.
Chevy dealers give me a call...
