My sister and I went to Boogie Music to have our bows rehaired. Big mistake! When picking up her violin bow and testing it, it wouldn't tighten without clicking and resetting itself so she had them fix it. Then in testing it again it didn't tighten much and decided it wasnt going to get much better to have them keep tinkering with it.
She also picked up my cello bow and it too barely tightens. I now have to get my bow rehaired (elsewhere) because if I play with it it'll completely destroy the pernambuco wood.
Very disappointing. I don't doubt their excellence in other areas, but take the drive to The String Shop for any bow rehairs. They do a great job every time! $80 down the drain on my cello bow.
