| - Dr. Rosenman is exactly what I need in a doctor. He is a Psychiatrist, not a therapist. If you need to talk out your problems for an hour every week, or need a doctor to be your personal cheerleader then he probably wouldn't be a good fit. He is straight forward, efficient, and objective. He isn't a cold robot though; he's easy going, genuine and a pleasure to chat with.
Therapy is not "my thing", I have tried many of times since my early teens and have never made any substantial progress when in therapy. However, I have found the right medications to keep me fully functional. I just need to check in with a doctor every month or so for 10-20min to make sure I am still feeling well, give a quick update on my life and get a refill on my meds (or adjust them if needed). Dr. Rosenman always see's me within 10 minutes of arriving, we talk for 15-20min, he writes my Rx, and I am on my way. I am in & out in 30min and that is what I need.
When I moved to Las Vegas 2 years ago I found Dr. Rosenman and have never been happier. My previous doctors were in the DC area and (without insurance) they were easily 4 times more expensive, they all insisted on weekly hour long visits as well as lots of tests and blood work every 3 months. Don't get me wrong, these are not BAD qualities AT ALL but as an uninsured patient in her mid 20's who is on a good medication regiment (has been for years) and doesn't respond well to therapy.... this was a LOT of $ and time being spent, especially considering the main topic I referenced in these mandatory hour long sessions was financial stresses effecting my otherwise stable mental state.
If you know what meds work on you, or if talk things out in painstaking detail doesn't work for you then you will most likely love Dr. R like I do.
Also, Idk why people are saying the staff is rude because I adore them. They know me by name when I walk in, they are always delightful, personable & very helpful.I probably spend just as much time girl-talking with them as I do in my session.
I couldn't stand seeing the negative reviews and this is actually my 1st Yelp review; so I hope it helps.
