| - Well this review is for service received thus far and rental period isn't even until June! Booked car hire with Sixt in January to collect at Scottsdale location ( flying into PHX the day prior ) the Sixt Scottsdale location is minutes from our vacation rental so we decided to rent at this location rather than PHX as we could reduce rental time and save time waiting for car at airport. Received email yesterday stating that location is closing but as a gesture of goodwill we are booked to pick the car up at PHX!! Thanks for that gesture!! Now we arrive at PHX, go to Scottsdale,next day back to airport to pick up car. On return we need to go to PHX, back to Scottsdale then next day back to airport, if we had wanted to pick up from PHX we would have booked pick up and return on the same days as our flights. I emailed Sixt suggesting alternatives as I'm keen to try them out rather than Dollar and Alamo, it's as if no one has read my email- suggestion by Sixt is to book another car and they MAY pay the difference! I've already paid in full for this booking so that's not an option, I've just phoned Sixt US from the UK and got nowhere, I've to call on Monday, I will update as this story progresses I just wanted to warn other potential customers of Sixt that my experience of them so far is poor but hopefully they can make this right
Well rental over and I can honestly say SIXT were excellent! After numerous emails prior to trip I was assured that I would get a refund of taxes as I was now picking up at the airport. Picking the car up was straightforward, car was outstanding Cadillac SRX with panoramic sunroof, sat nav etc, we have rented with Dollar and Alamo in the past and this car was top spec and better than I've rented before. The return was easy, I was nervous based on other reviews but no problems and receipt was emailed before I left the rental centre. On return I have received a new invoice with a refund, overall they really turned this round for me, I am definitely booking with SIXT next year
