  • I felt sorry for the old man selling newspaper subscriptions at the grocery store, so I signed up for 6 months. After the 6 months ended, I received numerous calls letting me know my invoice was due. Because I only agreed to 6 months, I assumed they were trying to get me to renew. I assumed that if I ignored them, they would go away. However after the 3rd call today, I decided to answer. I was informed that I was automatically enrolled in another 6 months as part of the agreement and my payment was past due. Annoyed by their desperate scam to make $22, I decided a fight was not worth my time. This second rate establishment obviously needs the $22 more than I do. Save your money, unless you use the paper as kindling for your charcoal grill like I do.
