  • I was excited to try Brickhouse Barbeque for the first time tonight! My partner and I arrived at 6:30 pm and were greeted by the hostess who told us that we would have a 30 minute wait. We were just glad to have the night off of work and so we didn't mind waiting at the bar and ordering drinks. It took the bartender 10 minutes to even say hello to us even though there were only 4 other patrons at the bar. My partner and I decided to be positive about the situation and go ahead and order two beers and two shots of patron. Shortly after we enjoyed our drinks we were told that our table was ready. When we sat down the waitress came over and greeted us but then went away for 15 minutes!!!!! She even took the order of the table next to us before ours and they were seated well after us. When she finally returned we ordered and then waited for the food to arrive. When the food came out it was cold and almost seemed like it wasn't fresh! My partner ordered the brickhouse mac and cheese and I had the pulled pork. The mac and cheese was TERRIBLE! It was cold, stale tasting AND it had no cheese on it! Our server came back 10 minutes later after we had been well into the meal and we explained how sad we were with the quality of the food. We were offered another meal but by this time we had been there for 2 hours and were simply annoyed. We were never offered to speak to management and in fact we seemed to be rushed out of the place. I have NEVER had such horrible service and food in Madison, Wisconsin. I think a meal from McDonalds would have been a more satisfying choice! After our dinner we decided to go to Dotty Dumplings Dowry where we were treated with respect and greeted from the moment we walked in until the time we left. Shame on you Brickhouse.
