Sadly My wife and I had very high expectations for the Pig & Pickle. Having just landed in town for a weekend getaway we came here straight from the airport (based on a lot of positive reviews here). I wanted a beer and good food after a long travel day. I asked our server Jake if all the beers were served by the pint. He replied yes and I ordered the stout. He came back a few minutes later and informed me they were out and asked if I'd like to order something else. I reviewed the menu and settled on the blueberry sour. Jake returned with the beer in a snifter (probably 10-12 Oz). I reminded Jake that he had told me a few minutes earlier that all beer on tap was served by the pint, and his response was rude at best. He told me that the sour wasn't, and didn't offer me another option. I protested, and he offered a pint of the beer I ordered. What happened next was almost unbelievable... He took my glass and returned with same beer I just ordered just poured in a pint glass (not topped off)! What a joke. Either he intentionally messed with me by retuning with a partially filled glass, or a manager told him to serve it to me that way. This one star review is based on principle. This is not how you treat customers. You either give me a pint, offer an alternate, or at best just tell me you made a mistake and apologize. I wish the food situation was better but it was it was over all pretty disappointing. We started with the Dump Truck salad. Not recommended. Bland at best, with a non-existent dressing. We followed with the Buffalo pork Shanks, which were served at a tepid temp. I thought the taste was pretty good but it was clearly not cooked to order. Lastly we finished with the Fried chicken pot pie. It was really good, and could have raised this from a bad to mediocre review. But the beer thing left such a bad taste in my mouth I can't provide a better rating, and would never recommend this place to anybody. Sad.
