| - Purchased our Model S from the website, very smooth - the local service center was the final delivery destination. On arrival they had the car sitting on a red carpet, they asked whether I had any questions, but after doing a LOT of research, I really didn't have any questions left. They obliged, and sent me on my way. In the nearly 2 years we've had our Model S, we've had rare, very minor complaints, mostly small rattles that would have been impossible to detect in a normal noisier car. They fixed every one, all under warranty. I appreciate Tesla's desire to sell a good quality car, and NOT make money on repairs. Our last car (Mercedes) hit a point where we were spending $2000-$5000 every 6 months, very consistently. I didn't really want to keep an old car that cost nearly $1000 per month to own, so I purchased one with fewer breakable parts. At this point, our Mercedes had already experienced a cracked head (covered in warranty), but our Model S has had zero issues other than a few minor rattles that were quickly fixed. Highly recommended.
