| - With the hunt of a dessert place in Charlotte, we landed here for our search because well, we wanted something cold (on a cold night, which made no sense) and NoDa is always somewhere to go to and see if they have any new murals. This place was new, so why not? This place is on the bottom floor of all those new high rise apartments. You know, Charlotte is all about following those gentrification models nowadays. Anyways, this place has a new outlook on popsicle bars.
Being our first times there, let me explain what the process is. When you walk up to the counter, there are a variety of flavors of frozen gelato. Pick one, then you go down the assembly line and you come up to if you want it dipped in chocolate and then chosen toppings. It's that simple. And no, your gelato won't fall off from the chocolate because it seemed like the people that will be working it are pros.
That's pretty much it. It's pretty simple, they offer a good amount of different flavors of gelato and some interesting toppings. I think it's a great place to stop after eating dinner for a dessert and then eating it either there or walking around NoDa. Popbar is worth a look and a place to check out for a quick dessert if you're into popsicle style of ice cream.
