  • If I could give them no stars, I would. I've been bringing my Ranger Rover to A&L since 2015 for oil changes and other issues. However, they NEVER manage to fix anything. The most recent one, which was the final straw, had to do with the back brakes that they replaced last year as part of their recommendation. We paid a hefty amount to have this done. The very next day the brand NEW brakes started to squeak with normal pressure and it only got worse. There was absolutely no squeaking at all prior to this. They "lubricated" them at the service appointment but this merely covered up the problem and only served as a temporary band-aid. My husband parked my car last month while I stood and waited outside watching. It was then that I realized how loud the squeaking really was and at that point I decided to call A&M AGAIN. I dropped the car off last Thursday and it's still in their possession because apparently their technician called in sick. However, I got an email from them today and this is what they said: "As far as your brake noise my tech was only able to get them to squeal on him once and it was when braking downhill and was coming from the front brakes. The front brakes measure at 5/32 of an inch so there is a little bite of life left on them but only way I could fix that would be to replace them, so you could have them replaced which would cost $739.70 plus tax or you can ride them a little bit longer and get the rest of the life out of them. Brand new brakes start at 13/32 so at 5/32 I would say you have a couple of months left probably." These people are completely dishonest and unethical. They keep coming up with new bullshit diagnoses to have their customers shell out more money. Just unbelievable! Not only have they wasted my money but they've wasted so much of my time! Will never step foot in this place ever again!
