Why O why does this place have to be so good. Grrrr. Honestly I was hoping it would be gross and I'd hate it. But no it's awesome AND it's right down the street from our house.
We stopped by during the friends and family day which was the day before the grand opening. A delightful lady greeted us at the door (with an awesome british accent) and informed us there were 40 flavors and we can try all of them. We were also allowed to get a free gelato. Saweeeeeet!
So began our decent into the flavors. We didn't try them all due to how busy they were, but we came pretty close. Some of the ones I tasted and enjoyed were...
Apple pie (#1 favorite)
Coffee
Salted coconut and mango
Lychee
Banana split
Blood orange
And the list goes on and on.... (how can it not with 40 flavors to try)
Since that day we have been back twice in a span of about a week. It's so easy because we are only about ten minutes away. It's great to have a new gelato place to enjoy and I honestly did not have high hopes because we had a previous favorite place (yah you know which one). The only thing I could complain about is that there is no defined line to wait. Everyone approaches the counter or rather bombards and pushes some people out of the way. Other people stand around unsure of what to do and end up asking you if you're in line. Then when you approach the counter it doesn't seem like you get only the one person to help you. You may end up with two or three people helping you through the whole process. And maybe it's only like this because they are new and it is always busy, but this is not something that will cause me not to enjoy their awesome flavors.
We have yet to try the beautiful cakes, but someone's birthday is coming up ;] and I think he would enjoy it.
Thank you Galato Messina for opening your first US location here!
