| - Horrible experience. I made the mistake of paying in cash just now. Ignorant girl at counter would not let me leave saying she input tip amount the way she would normally do on a credit card transaction. She told me I had to wait for her to get her manager, void transaction, & start over.
If she had to do that, fine, but they got my hundred dollars which was already in the cash drawer, I had the correct change in my hand. I needed to leave to pick up my autistic son on time.
I asked if I could please leave since it was their issue, amount would not change, and if I was not present to pick up my autistic four-year-old on time, he would freak out. She told me no - I had to wait while she got the manager. WHAT!?!?!?
I turned to the other two young girls at the front desk and asked if I could please go. I had paid. I had tipped 20%. It was not my fault she "put the tip in wrong." I NEEDED TO LEAVE AND PICK UP MY SON. "May I please leave? I have the right change and the amount is not going to change," I desperately asked.
"She'll come out pretty quickly," one of them replied. 10 minutes after this all started, I was STILL STANDING THERE. I am an Usui Reiki Master, but there is a limit to the patience of even the most balanced and enlightened individuals. To be punished like this just because I made the apparently EXTREMELY UNUSUAL decision to pay in cash when I expressed the urgency to pick up my child and this was completely an internal issue/problem is inexcusable. I had never been to this particular location of ALS previously. I shall never return either!
