| - Walked in with beautiful long nails, walked out with stubs.
For the first time in my life, I had long strong nails, thanks to some new supplements I was taking. So I thought that I would get a lovely manicure to show them off. The aesthetician asked me if I wanted them cut and I said no, just a tiny bit of a trim, squinting my eyes and putting my thumb and forefinger together as if to show an eensy teensy little bit.
Two minutes later I looked down to see nothing but stubs. I was horrified. Yes, they will grow back, but that doesn't erase the fact that she didn't listen to me. On top of that, she had me hold my hands up in the air while she did the manicure. I thought clients were supposed to relax and the aesthetician was in charge of manipulating the hands as they see fit. And then she slapped some coldasshit massage cream on my arms, without even warming it up. Augghh.
My friend had a much better experience, because she went to Cindy, who she has seen several times. Cindy is deaf and so they had a lovely time signing and Cindy is an expert when it comes to nail art.
The manager did explain to me that a tiny little bit means cut everything down to nothing. If only I had known that before. They do have a big selection of colors, and if I do come back I will see Cindy, but right now I'm still in nail shock.
