  • I visited the aquarium when it first opened and went alone (Not a loner I swear haha). Being a biology student I was super excited and truly think that Toronto needed something like this to add to the downtown core. It is fairly expensive, a little higher than the Toronto Zoo and for a weekday it was packed. Getting my ticket online was easier because I skipped the huge lineup. On the website it stated that you could just show the confirmation email from your phone but it took the girl working there five minutes to scan it. The tanks and displays are a pretty basic circular layout. I went late in the evening and after a long day of classes the music and darkness was seriously relaxing. I stopped to read about every single tank and take pictures/videos and finished the entire tour in a little over an hour and half. The touch tanks with the sharks and stingrays along with the dive display were really neat. The staff was knowledgeable and quite interactive with the visitors. There is a neat little area for kids to play along with a horse shoes crab touch tank and a small area to eat. Overall it was a good experience and really cool to see all the marine life you wouldn't normally see living in the city. Sure it might not be as great as other aquariums around the world but it's good enough and worth the money to go at least once.
