We went Saturday for the market and Sunday for the antiques. Being that we weren't in a position to cook any fresh meals, Sunday was by far my favorite of the two days. Both are excellent in their own right. Sunday's antique vendors were all really helpful, willing to barter and genuinely nice to speak to. We went early to avoid crowds and found that our two sister cities are very compatible! While we are trying to unload kitch from the 50's and 60's, our northern counterpart is gobbling them up. The same can be said for what they're selling, we are buying and buying and buying. My husband found and bought me a vintage perfume bottle and compact to go on my vanity at home as a gift. I picked up an art nouveau dish and a book on psychiatric facilities and procedures in Toronto for our friend who practices in the US. There was a lot more ground to cover but that will have to wait for another day.
